Join us in our fight against a 15% water rate hike in Somis Water District 19!
Act Now to Stop The Ventura County Waterworks District 19 Rate Increase is a community movement organized by Somis District 19 residents and small farmers. Recently the Ventura County Waterworks District 19 and the Citizen's Advisory Committee approved a 15% rate increase for Somis water and meter rates, effective 1/1/2026. We believe the increases are not justified. Together, we can make a difference. California Law (Proposition 218) grants the ratepayers the right to oppose any rate increase. We need your support to reach our District 19 goal of a minimum of 550 signed petitions to protest/object the proposed rate increase. Your signature matters. Please act now by signing and mailing the petition to the Ventura County Clerk of the Board of Supervisors by NOVEMBER 28, 2025.
